The digital age continues to grow and expand in wonderful ways we never imagined possible. The beauty of this online communication tool is that no matter the geographical distance, our ability to work together is possible utilising a variety of online platforms.
You will be surprised how much can be achieved by working remotely and communicating using the following:
TEAM VIEWER - REMOTE COMPUTER ACCESS
Team Viewer is one of several available methods of connecting to your computer remotely. This way i can help with training and implementing new systems from my own office and troubleshoot any issues with a hands on approach, rather than fumbling through steps over the phone which can be incredibly painful and frustrating. In case you are wondering about security, there are passwords that change regularly so i am only able to access your computer if you give me a password to log on.are completely secure.
ZOOM CHAT
A face to face conversation from the comfort of our own offices/homes. When necessary we can use video conference over Zoom Chat. Another great tool that means getting on a plane is not necessary.
GOOGLE DRIVE
Watch out MS Excel and Word here comes Google Drive. A brilliant online community including document sharing (multi user editing) and file storage. No concern about backups and a place you know you can access information at any time.
DROPBOX
Such a great filing system that you can rely on. It has saved me and the businesses I have worked with so many times when backups have failed and systems have been compromised. System crashes? Never fear just reinstate the folders from the previous day, phew, thank god for THAT. This is a great way for us to be able to share our folders, just like we are in the office together. And when the time comes that you don't need me because you are just so organised, just unshare access and your file is solely accessible to you again.
TRELLO, CLICKUP
So many great project management tools available to us now. Easy to use, follow and map out projects. This way we can easily see where we are now and where we are heading. Also great systems for creating checklists and procedures for your business. Seriously, if you haven't experienced it yet, you will be delighted.
LOOM
What a game changer is loom, small instructional video's that you can replay, pause, fast forward. Also just a way to send updates on progress. This thing is marvellous! Oh Loom where have you been all my life!
MYOB + XERO
Sorry Quickbooks, MYOB and Xero have my heart. I specialise in MYOB and Xero accounting packages. The beautiful thing about these now being online is the ability for you to access anywhere and also to share directly with your bookkeeper (AKA us) and Accountant.
HUBDOC / RECEIPT BANK (DEXT)
An extraordinary development in reducing data entry time, this technology scans your receipts and loads the data for you! Just check and submit, syncs to your accounting program and attaches your receipts directly to your transaction, amazing. Not for everyone though, I still understand some who want that hard copy in the folder. I can work with both types of clients.
